Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 19 May 2026 · Applies to: Trux web platform
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device across page loads and sessions. Trux also uses similar technologies such as browser local storage and session storage to maintain authenticated session state.
2. How Trux Uses Cookies
2.1 Authentication Tokens
After you log in via OTP, Trux stores your JWT access token and refresh token in browser local storage. These tokens are required to authenticate every API request and maintain your logged-in session across page reloads. Removing them will log you out.
2.2 Session Preferences
We store your UI preferences — such as sidebar collapsed/expanded state, selected filters, and view mode (table vs. card) — in browser local storage so your portal feels consistent between visits.
2.3 Security
We may set a session cookie to help protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). This cookie contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
2.4 Analytics (Optional)
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — pages visited, feature usage, and load times. Analytics data is anonymised before processing and is never linked to individual identities.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use
Trux does not use: • Third-party advertising or retargeting cookies • Social media tracking pixels • Cross-site tracking technologies that follow you outside the Trux platform • Cookies that profile your browsing behaviour for commercial sale
4. Managing Cookies
4.1 Browser Settings
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that disabling authentication-related local storage will prevent you from staying logged in to the Trux portal.
4.2 Opt-Out of Analytics
You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time by contacting us at privacy@trux.in or adjusting your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting. We honour DNT signals where technically possible.
5. Data Stored in Local Storage
In addition to cookies, the Trux portal uses browser local storage for: • Access token and refresh token (authentication) • User profile cache (name, role, permissions) • Notification unread counts • Portal UI state (sidebar, filters) This data remains on your device until you log out or clear your browser storage.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our platform and technology evolve. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
